City or Country Living, Which Is Better?

There are many joys and benefits of living in the country and the city.  The pros of city living consist of more places to go throughout the day, as well as a more exciting nightlife.  This is due to the fact that more events are held in cities than there are in the country.  However, just as all things have an equal side, there are the cons of city living, which include a heavy amount of traffic, tight living quarters, constant noise, and less peace of mind.  Also, there is a serious lack of natural trees in major cities resulting in a lack of oxygen and a higher crime rate.  Whereas those who live in the country experience a considerably lower crime rate which gives a much-desired peace of mind.  Also in country living, there is a more family oriented dynamic.  I believe this is due to the fact that there are not many places to go therefore causing families to spend much more time together.  You also have the benefit of knowing your neighbors, while at the same time having the privacy to be left alone should you desire it.  Another pro of living in the country is the breathtaking views that surround you on a constant basis.  Some of the cons of living in the country would have to be that a reliable vehicle or two of some sort is needed in order to get to the various places you wish to travel to.  This would include the stores that seem to close super early, another con to add to the list.  The final con would be that there isn't much of a nightlife in country living unless you are the one providing it.  So there you have it, the pros and cons of both city and country living.  Now, which is better? Well, that would depend on your desired style of living.  However, if you ask me, someone who has lived in both.  I would have to say it's better to live in the country where the city isn't too far away.
